Function of SLMA

- Implementation of the scheme

- State Centre for Literacy (SCL) to be housed in SCERT for providing technical, academic and resource support to SLMA

- District level implementation to be designed by State/UT as per local context
- Involvement of State Education Departments, DIETs, BRCs, CRCs and other govt. depts/organisations
